Enhanced thermal protection
The insulated aluminum swing shutter acts as a shield, preventing cold air from penetrating between the shutter and the window pane. The air trapped in this space creates an additional thermal barrier. This system maintains a constant indoor temperature year-round. Even in summer, the insulated shutter blocks heat and keeps the air at a constant temperature behind the wall. The wall is made of thermal insulation material and polypropylene (a recyclable material) cladding.
Pre-frame system for perfect insulation!
Thanks to our pre-frame system, installation is easy, and the extruded aluminum profiles insulate your home. The frame is produced in a French factory and is custom-made. All you have to do is drill holes and Fix the pre-frame during on-site installation. Your shutter is factory-adjusted and the hinges are attached to the pre-frame. You no longer need to work on the facade to position them. The installation of these high-thermal-performance swing shutters is made easier, as is their maintenance, thanks to the properties of aluminum.
Aluminum swing shutters: high-performance sandwich panels
The Mitjavila design office developed specific technical specifications for the supply of the sandwich panels used in the assembly of the aluminum shutters. The panel’s thickness (28 mm) gives it a thermal coefficient Uw of 0.97/m². Insulation plays a key role in a building’s energy consumption and enhances your comfort. Insulated aluminum swing shutters help save energy (heating, air conditioning) thanks to their thermal properties.
Our insulated aluminum swing shutters are available in either a hinge-to-hinge or cross-hinge configuration. High-quality hardware is available in a variety of colors upon request. The powder coat finish is guaranteed for 5 years.
Insulated aluminum swing shutters: the benefits of a pre-frame.
Choose a subframe to comply with RT 2012 (Thermal regulations in France). The tax credit is no longer available for shutters as of January 1, 2019. The aluminum cover profile helps compensate for uneven masonry and, in most cases, hides the old hinge stubs that are cut off during renovation.
