The design office has designed a bioclimatic pergola with retractable slats inspired by the pantograph mechanism. Our system is the only one on the market, thanks to an innovative patented slide, to offer 45° slat orientation quickly with a single motor when opening. You therefore benefit from the advantage of a bioclimatic pergola that is effective against the sun’s rays, while being assured of a completely waterproof roof when closed. In short, a slatted pergola that will meet your needs depending on the time of day and the weather.
An offset foot option provides a more innovative design with the possibility of increasing the projection over a patio. New, more solid profiles confirm the robustness of this new pergola.

100% aluminium structure and attractive design
Perfect durability thanks to the powder coating of the parts and profiles manufactured in our factories. Our system is made up of die-cast aluminium parts to guarantee, as with all Mitjavila products, excellent durability. This is a high-end retractable bioclimatic pergola with solid posts. All ground and wall fixing systems and the drive belt are concealed for a perfect aesthetic finish.
Easy assembly and installation
Where other retractable pergola models on the market are complex to install, our model offers slats that are very easy to screw in (pre-assembled in the factory). Two installers and a single day are all it takes to install a retractable bioclimatic pergola measuring 5 metres wide by 4 metres deep.
Canopy in open position
The slats of the pergola retract together over a 1.20 metre projection (5 metre projection) to form a protective canopy and leave the rest of the terrace open to the sun. This allows you to enjoy the benefits of a canopy in summer that breaks up the sun but does not prevent it from passing through, providing more light in winter.
Excellent protection
When closed, the slats rest on a seal that provides better protection against rain for the retractable bioclimatic pergola. Water is drained away via the gutter and posts. The pergola is not a conservatory for your home, but offers an attractive and comfortable compromise. You retain an open-air terrace that is accessible even in rainy weather, while being protected from all weather conditions.

The extruded aluminium slats of the Horizon 5 pergola are adjustable and retractable, based on the slats of our bioclimatic model Horizon 2, which has been tried and tested over many years.
You can enhance the retractable roof pergola with vertical awnings, glass walls and LED lighting to create an outdoor space that provides protection from the sun and rain.
